Data taken from JL Audio's website: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_stealth...php?fit_id=1577

The 5th incarnation of the BMW 5-Series proves that BMW?s mastery of the sport-sedan formula remains as strong as ever.

The low-frequency capabilities of BMW?s underseat woofers do leave something to be desired, however... so we have applied JL Audio?s mastery of automotive sub-bass to design the ultimate subwoofer for the E60. This Stealthbox? tucks in behind driver side wheel well in the trunk compartment (without taking up very much useful space) and features our premium 12-inch, W6-class subwoofer for impeccable bass quality and amazingly strong output.

Now you can enjoy sub-bass as impressive as your car?s driving dynamics.

THE HARD DATA:
Contains one 12W6v2-D4 subwoofer in a sealed enclosure. 600 watt power handling. Wired for 2 ohm mono. Installs in driver-side, rear corner of trunk compartment. Black, steel mesh woofer grille is included. Will not fit vehicles equipped with the Logic 7 factory stereo.

You guys should make your own. I'm tired of working on mine. Its almost finished though. Just needs one final going over with filler and some carpet.

I had a custom box made for my e39 and it fit in the indented area right above the battery. It was like this Stealthbox but about half the size. I had an old 10" Kicker powered by another old Pioneer 2 channel amp. It took the signal from the rear parcel shelf speakers which I removed because they resonated a lot. A line level converter was also used. I paid maybe $400 back in 2005 and they only the car for 2 days. Only problem with this is that your car smelled like some sort of resin for about a week.
