the dension is not pretending to be a ipod through? i thought it pretends to be a cdc, so wouldnt the mp3 upgrade be more useful?

Yes, the deal is still going. PM me your info and I'll send you a PayPal invoice.
Any ideas (Sorry to put board questions in this thread, but I ran out of other options!)

I"m trying to PM you but I get an error that I'm not allowed to send PMs on this board. I tried to PM a moderator and that didn't work either.

Updating my earlier post on install problems and the pathetic Dension tech support, I finally have my GW500 working.
BlaSTiWi's recent notes were very helpful - thanks!
The bottom line is to specifically request iPod programming into your car and find a semi-competent BMW dealer to do it - that's hard in my area. But it is working now. No CDC software programming is needed, despite what Dension stated.
As noted earlier, my 2006 530i is M-ASK, non-nav, and has a single console CD that reads (full text display), but does not play, MP3s. After iPod programming, the CD behaves the same. Full text is displayed for the GW500. So, the CD does not have to play MP3 CDs, only read and display them to get full text with your GW500.
