Sure, but please find a way to get rid of the waxes and the like. Get a wax remover/cleaner.
Before you apply, do a test on the surface with any kind of adhesive tape until you see that sticks well and it's so difficult to un-stick as it would be if you stick it on a sheet of paper.
Waxes and generally car paint care products is the headache of every car body shop, because it develops a thin film of teflon which is slippery and no color/no sticker can "catch" on it.
You need to have a special solvent to completely get rid of it.
