An M5board member bought the LCI tailights and found a trouble with the socket:

Yes for thoose pics we will need a socket adapter.
I didn't receive the taillights yet but tomorrow I will buy the necessary connectors to fit the taillights without damage the OEM sockets... It is not difficult but I didn't expected that with the info that I received before ...
Let's see how it will work to provide thoose aftermaked adapters for the taillights buyers.

According to the pics and from what I recall, it seems that the OEM adapter cable on E46 LED retrofit may work, cuz the sockets simply look the same. It would be great if someone has access to one of these cables and give it a try...

Alex, what's the story on the adapter sockets - any short term solutions for Euro buyers ?
BTW, your efforts are certainly appreciated - look foward to hearing about a solution - otherwise, worst case scenario > wait for the retrofit and eventual connector/adapter...
