According to the pics and from what I recall, it seems that the OEM adapter cable on E46 LED retrofit may work, cuz the sockets simply look the same. It would be great if someone has access to one of these cables and give it a try...
anyone with e46 led experience who can confirm this ?

If ECF receives the set, I can ask him to let me use his light set and do some investigation. It should not take more than an hour of work.

Fred, that would be great !! ...and we don't have to worry about causing any damage on our own lights

Sadly confirmed not plug & play...

post in the Accessories forum HERE

Alex, what's the story on the adapter sockets - any short term solutions for Euro buyers ?

BTW, your efforts are certainly appreciated - look foward to hearing about a solution - otherwise, worst case scenario > wait for the retrofit and eventual connector/adapter...

Andy and all,

As soon I receive my set I will be able to make the connectors.

I'm feel very sorry about this mess. I trusted in a wrong info (checked twice) and I it is my responsibility to fix that since I induce all of you in a wrong plug and play info.

I will order the e46 adapter socket to see if will work but for sure I will be able to supply an aftermarket adaptor for all Group Buy members for myself charges.

For sure all help will be grateful at this moment.

What I can help is providing electrical analysis and drawing pin diagram for you to make adapter. I'll test them wire by wire and it should be quick.
Tony (ECF), have you had your lights? Please let me know.

Just got a set of E46 LED cable from my friend and checked the pins......and nope, the sockets is different. All 7 pins are aligned in single row.
So I believe you will need aftermarket adaptor to get the LED tails work.
