Can I have NAV installed after my car is delivered?

BMW North America has made the parts available for a NAV retrofit kit. The NAV retrofit can usually be installed but sometimes it depends on other options and/or your cars build date. You should contact your dealer or BMWNA and tell them your VIN and they should be able to tell you if the kit is supported or not. The retrofit kit part number is:

CCC Retrofit/Conversion Kit US: 65 90 0 390 844

Hi Viper,

If your car was built in October or November you should be able to get NAV retrofitted for the original $1800 price.

The month and year should be should be printed on the drivers side door jam somewhere. Retrofit just means to install afterwards, not in the factory.

My 2004 525i was manufactured in 12/03. So are you SURE, like 100% sure, that i can get the bmw navigation in there? and what about HUD? (HUD is not too important)

I don't think HUD is available as a retrofit. The entire dashboard would have to be replaced I think.

Nav should be possible, but expensive.

HUD would need new dashboard, wiring, software and windshield... Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive!!!

Ok, forget HUD then. So what do you think the cost for getting NAV installed would be?
