Adaptive headlights issue
Hi all,
I have adaptive headlights fitted to my 530D F11 and when adaptive is selected the light beams move as expected but when the steering is just left of centre the left hand indicator leds flicker/light up! It doesnt happen at any other point of the steering.
I have attached a vid of the fault. Ignore the initial start up shudder. that was an issue with the glow plug module but thats all sorted now.
As well as being annoying it is dangerous as ive already had a handful of people thinking im indicating to turn in and they go to pull out on me!!
I had the car on a diagnostics and there was a FRM error code but i cant remember what it was.
Any suggestions?
Do i need to replace the footwell module or is it something that can be fixed with coding etc?
my frm is a 3. the part number is 6315 9 251976
Sw 48
WD 41
HW 26
whilst the car is off the road (inlet manifold and egr deep clean) i removed the TMS (lighting controller module?) to check sll the pins and there is no sign of corrosion so thats one good thing.
I removed the headlight in question and check all the wiring inside and also the main connector plug that for some reason had been taped together so fixed all that!
Before this happened I used to occasionally get a rapid flashing turn signal when left indicator is selected as if a bulb had blown and sometimes the turn indicator would just go solid but cleared with a "fonzey" style tap on the wing.
This came with a lighting failure message on the idrive but as I say, this hasnt happened for ages.
