Are you sure? I visited Dingolfing plant twice and both times I saw complete M5s and M6s coming out the production line.
What I am sure is that Alpinas are getting the final treatment in Buchloe.

Marco, you're correct. The E39 M5 and the E60 M5 were completed at Dingolfing as will the F10 M5. They used to hand build these cars in Garching but now I believe Garching is just for R&D. It is the M headquarters but not for any production volume.
