See I am not alone. The perfect way to describe the F10-boring! It is more luxurious and has a nice engine in both variants but its just not a fun car to drive. Simply feel it is the fact it "feels" big. Even if it is not much bigger spec wise, the layout and design from the cockpit feels giant and not sport-and I know that is what the 5er is now.
As I posted in a thread above I had a 535 for a week or so and when I got my 07 530 back it was like I had a new car again I was having so much fun. The interior is also so much nicer, more simple and very clean looking. Way too many buttons/knobs on the F10-a step backwards. It was all the geezers who couldnt work I-drive that had to complain. How hard is idrive really to work? It is probably the easiest thing I have ever done in electronic world and have no clue how people would complain.
You should sell your 550 and go for the e90 m3. You would love it. Once I drove the M I knew it was the car for me. A little smaller than the e60 which is perfect (well the e60 M5 to me is the perfect car but I wanted something new and more uptodate-which the m3 is at this point. It looks amazing, doesnt have that really squared off front and it is faster and more fun than the e60. And it costs the same as the f10 550.

I keep hearing nothing but bad things about this car. I guess us E60 lovers would just have to settle down for 3 series, 6 series, and M5 if we really want to keep it sporty IMO!

"Bad things?".....the only bad things heard around here are those started by trolls and haters.

But not much can keep up with it, and when I remap it well it's going to be quick.

I agree I got my e61 back tonight and it feels like a sports car even thought it is a wagon. The F10 loan felt so big and was hard to maneuver in the parking garage. The F10 did ride so much smother and the trunk was very large but it was not fun to drive.

I don't know Diamond and don't think he was part of this thread.
Geobmw did you test drive your F10 before you order it?
I was exited to drive the F10 loaner but became disheartened.
The F10 is just to soft and big for me. I guess that BMW will be enlarging the new 3 in 2012 that might be a better car for me.
The F10 is built off the 7 chaise and is a sporty version of a 7 with the right options. If that is what you are seeking it is a nice car.
It is a great highway cruiser.
