Test drove the 528i in HK

My Ride: Mini Cooper
The car is a little bit quiter than our E60.
I was only doing about 60km on narrow twisty roads.
The road handing is much better than our e60 and feels much more soild and the Chassis is much more stiffer.
I dont like the steering which is way too light. :thumbsdown: not much of the road feel now that they change to electronic. :thumbsdown:
I would say it feel like the 3 Ultra Racing Strut bars that I have just added on my E60 few weeks ago.
as for the power the 2.8 is OK for HK road. with the car wight is almost 2 tons the power can puch it.
when it is in the normal mode it is smooth, but when I turn on the sport mode the car is alive (same as adding the SB on our e60). I wonder what will happen if installed SB on this car

When driving on the narrow and twisty roads the car dose feel alot bigger, not just that 1 inch bigger, feel like 4 inch bigger, compare to E60
over all I like it, feels much more luxury as a business car in HK.
as for a family car in small city, I think it is on the big side.
most car park will have a hard time parking in HK :thumbsdown:. But for you guys in US the parking space are big so I would recommend this car to friends any day
I will wait until the 2.5 engines are out in 2 years time.

Yeah, its pretty pricey to buy and run cars here... A Ferrari 430 is about US$500k... which i am sure is a hell of a lot more expensive than what you can buy it for in the US!

In Singapore, a 523i 2.5Liter is about US$160K !!!!!
A 535i is about US$210K.
Possibly the most expensive in the world... Rats!!

Mercedes CLS is both wider and longer than the F10. I drive the CLS from time to time and it's not THAT big.

the road was at Repulse Bay on the Hong Kong side 22°13'47.21"N 114°12'0.51"E at google earth.
even better, next time you come over we can have a ND and we take you there to see how narrow the roads are.

Repulse Bay Road isn't wide, but it ain't that narrow either; double-decker buses have been running that route two-way without issue.
