I sat in an F10 550 again today and noticed that the sunroof shade could not be retracted manually. I also could not find any switch to retract the shade. Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to open the sunroof shade without opening the sunroof itself?

 

Yes. The you use the same switch. If you push the switch back the shade opens, and if you push again then the sunroof itself opens.

 

Thanks, good news. I was a bit worried that this was another small omission like the adjustable side bolsters on the comfort seats and the lack of a rear seat side airbag option.
