I've got a 2010 525d (6 cylinder), have not regretted changing from a 530i E60. Did have initial reservations about diesel. Yes you can still hear the diesel engine noise when outside but when driving in the car, the sound insualation is so good you won't feel the difference to a petrol.

Postive side is that I fill up every 2 weeks instead of every week!

I'm sure the new 520d will be the same noise wise but with even better economy!

Excellent car. Not a bomb by any indicates but managing and common composure on the street is amazing.

There is such a kit already for the 520d!

184 hp (135 kW) to 200 hp (147 kW)
380nm to 420 Nm

The 0-100 is 0,5 sec faster
and 80-120 is 1 sec faster

But they write that it's for the MT and not AT. lets see whether they will have a powerkit for the AT soon?
