Just a quick note to say Goodbye to the forum and my 520d auto.

Changing job and the 5 gets picked up next week, and I get a nice shinny new Land Rover Discovery delivered just in time for Easter.

To be fair it's been a good car. Nice and comfy, fast enough and over 39,000 miles its averaged 47.9mpg. A few issues are now appearing, the odd very slight rattle here and there. Tyre wear has been heavy (6 new boots so far)

Good luck everyone with your rides. Maybe see you in 3 years when the new lease ends.

Oh one last thing - ITS NOT TOO BIG, DOESN'T HANDLE OR RIDE BADLY AND A 4 POT DIESEL IS FINE

Much love

D

Yes, an imperial gallon (UK standard) is larger than a US gallon therefore the MPG is higher. But the MPG is still impressive...

Land Rover makes a great car that will absolutely impress you for the first ~50,000 miles. The Disco is the epitome of the 'adventurer's car' and if used properly (has anyone here ever taken one off-road?) will astound you in volition. That being said, prepare for nightmares....ask me how I know.
