Picked up my 2013 xDrive 535 this afternoon.
Still plowing through the manuals to learn how to use the myriad of technology features! I have a feeling it's going to take me some time - but it'll be a perfect way to spend the next few chilly days. It's generously equipped with features and enhancements that really look (at first glance) exciting. Android coupled right up and started reading my txt messages. Still working on Droid apps and office/maps etc.
The color is a very different Mojave Metallic with Beige interior - I've had blue and gray and silver BMWs in the past (still have the "BGR" Z3) ... And this is the way it's optioned up:

That's a really good question but I'll have to put more than 40 miles on it to give you a more complete comparison. Immediately I can tell you it feels smoother and much quieter. And, coming from a normally aspirated 530xi into a 535 xDrive, even driven conservatively I can feel the extra get up and go.
After the break in time I'll get to try it in some twisties and sprints. For the moment I'll want to get some of the tech stuff committed to memory ... tonight I got the BMW Remote app running on my Droid and that's cool (even with its limited features - flash lights, blow horn, lock / unlock, locate car). Tomorrow I'll get my iPod and USB stick loaded and transfer music. And, I've got to figure out how to reply to txt messages - they downloaded from my phone (Moto Bionic) but I want to deal with that when I'm not driving.
One other feature I noticed on a short drive to the store tonight was the terrific ambient lighting - a reddish glow on the doors ... Cool!! I'll try to remember to take a pic one of these nights.
