Here's a bit more of a breakdown by model:

5 series sales in Feb 2011 were 4,001 units. 5 Series GT sold additonal 211 units. MB E-Class sold 3,636 (F10 kicked its butt!). E-Class Coupe 567.

BMW 7 series 1,109 (+23% over same month last year)
MB S-Class 659 (-8%)
Porsche Panamera 442 +(8%)
Audi A8 361 (+962%)
Jaguar XJ 356 (+4350%)

In other news ... electric vehicle sales seem like dull wattage.
Chevy Volt 281 units
Nissan Leaf 67
Tesla Roadster 101

Thanks for the additional details.

I heard that BMW ran a promotion for the 7 series last month so that may explain why they had a [relatively] good month...

The new X3 would have been an excellent car over here this winter.

The F10 did also well thanks to the very fine DSC (and especially the DTC) and the relatively "high" ground clearence.
