Wow... totally do not want the M Sport pack for my 535i  This M kit makes the classy F10 look like a boy racer tuner car. This has nothing on the E60's M kit, and is by far the best factory installed kit BMW has ever produced
My #1 gripe with this new M kit is that I absolutely HATE those cloth seats/interior, because damn it when I pay $70k+ for a luxury car, I want to feel like I bought a $70k+ car. Those black burlap sack seats look stupid in a car that is considered to be the luxury mid size class leader. Can you imagine the look on people's faces when you tell them that your cloth seats/interior are an "upgrade", AND that you paid MORE for it as well? I can't see this new M kit being a hit, because the truth of the matter is, the overwhelming majority of F10 buyers do not race/track their cars. Even if buyers do like the look of the F10 M kit, they probably will opt out simply because the notion, look & feel of the cloth seats/interior being an upgrade will be lost on them. No doubt track rats will go gaga for the new kit, as would I if I was a track rat.
Styling wise, I'm not too sure I like it as well. It might grow on me over time.
Front valance: It's a little busy and doesn't accentuate the "roundness" of the F10's front. There's a disconnect in styling between the F10's round front top half, and angular bottom half of the front. It's as if BMW were too lazy to design a new M bumper for the F10, so they took the M3's bumper, modified it to be more angular and stuck it on.
Rear valance: I really dislike the black rear valance. Again, it makes the F10 look like a boy racer tuner car, which it is not. BMW should have just kept it 1 color like the previous M kit. And I don't like how the red reflectors have been moved way up; makes it seem out of place.
Wheels: I like the look of the 19" 351. 20s would look even better.
I'm sad that this new M kit doesn't have the same effect on me the way the E60 M kit did. I think my problem is that, try as I might to like this new F10, the styling of the E60 still gets me everytime. I don't know about you guys, but I think that the E60 actually looks newer than the F10.
My taste in cars has matured since I bought my 530xi, and I'm just not that into modifying cars anymore. I will still get a F10 535i, but probably won't be ticking off the M kit option.

I wish people would relax about the cloth seats. Premium German cars have offered a choice of leather or cloth seats for YEARS in the rest of the world. The US market 'demands' that luxury cars have leather seats, so that's what we get. Those who wish we could have a choice here in the States will probably be just as disappointed with this new model as they were with the last. These pictures were taken for the UK market... ours will be leather. Leather fans rejoice; cloth fans can only sigh.
I'm sure this new package will look outstanding in some of the darker metallic shades, although I can't imagine having any size less than 20" for the wheels. I too am disappointed with the rather boring wheel styles we've seen so far, however. As far as the rear diffuser, it will be interesting to see how many folks decide to just have it painted the body color instead.
I really like the AW modded F10 from 5Post. The lowered springs and larger wheels make a major difference with the stance and lines. Add this body kit and I'm sure I'll like it even more.
The model that has piqued my interest the most, however, is the 6Series GC!

I'm the owner of a 2010 550i with the M-sport package, and I really like the looks of my car a lot. I have to say, though, that some of the design critiques offered in this thread, while extremely thoughtful and impressive in their analysis, seem overly harsh. I would love to hear an analysis of why the M-sport package on the E60 is so much better, in terms of its lines and overall design.
I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the negative critiques of the F10 M-sport package; I'm more curious as to how the same design oriented members of this forum would analyze the E60 M-sport package by contrast to the F10.
