the F10 compared to the competition

Looks wise, the Jag is the winner according to me. Overall, the winner is F10.
(the concept headlights for it were great)
F10
the Jag certainly had lots of exterior potential in concept form, which was toned down quite a bit, and i like the infinity exterior a lot... but inside the F10 beats them all
i got inside the XF and also the XF R (that apparently beats the M5 performance-wise) this summer and holy cr*p are they bad - just plain, cramped and no excitement despite the cool features with the air vents and the gear knob; and the XF R was actually worse than the normal XF, due to some really cheap "sporty" ornaments and additions to the interior trim. looked and felt worse than korean..

Surely we need to reserve judgment until we've actually had the chance to see the F10 (and the F10 interior) in person? Audi's supposed dominance in relation to interiors wasn't just in design, it was also in quality of materials and real-world ergonomics. We're going to have to see the F10 in the flesh to know how the F10 materials etc stack up. You really can't get any of that from just looking at pictures of from video...

The E-Class with the AMG-package, as the one in the picture spanks the new 5 w/o M-Sport. But with M-Sport I'm sure it will be a different story. The other doesn't interest me at all..

And the Mercedes? I really don't mean to trash them completely, but I don't know what they're thinking with the new E-Class. They may be made of quality materials, granted, but it still looks 'cheap' to my eyes, and very ancient -- like something from the 80's. I guess they figured that if everyone was going to go aero and modern, they should try to be different and return to boxy, but it comes across as just ... old.
my expectation on the F10 was probably high, after driving the current E60 LCI for a yr now.
design wise, its too close to 7 (those rear lights) and 3 (in front view)
but after reading some specs on new features like brake re-generating energy (sounds like KERS) & 8 speed gearbox..my mind slowly sink in that this F10 may win many hearts soon.
