At least the nostrils look smaller than on the GT
It doesn't seem as revolutionary as the e60 was when it came out, but ultimately it is shaping up to be a very tolerable vehicle.

Looks like E60 and E39 molded in one. Definitely needs a a great looking spoiler to take away the "volvoish" front

at least its not an angry piranha
But yes, that front bumper needs an M-Tech kit immediately. Thankfully, I think one will be available pretty soon after the car comes out... how do I know that? I'm a friggin' psychic!

I think it should have been more aggressive looking. Making it more M looking would do wonders to help further differentiate the car from the competition.

Bland, boring...another Euro-bubble ! But with a BMW kidney grill.
Bangle's legacy lives on..they (BMW) were so shaken by Bangle screwing up an iconic European car design brand that they've lost their confidence and now gone the other way, into safe Euro-Bubble mode,
It will take another couple of facelifts before they get it right and they let a European (Andrian Van Hoodynk - Dutch) get to work restoring the brand to it's former glory and wash out all that Bangle nonsense. I mean, no oil dip stick, run flat tyres, no temperature gauge...! let alone the design.
It's like that advertising campaign they are running just now with the tagline "joy" what a screw-up "Joy" for goodness sake. They could've paid me $4miilion and I could have developed a campaign with the tagline "It's a BMW...Enough said"..........well, it's better than "joy"

Looks extremely pedestrian to me and, from one side view, quite reminiscent of the 1972 Chevrolet Vega Hatchback.
I owned a 73 Vega Hatchback.
Gas stations were not close enough together so I had to have a gallon of oil handy for refills. I used to run the oil level down so far the engine would seize up routinely. Times have changed, nowadays I don't like seeing my oil level off the top off mark.
I had to finally get rid of the car because the gas tank was leaking gas and a cop noticed it.
