Well its been a long time since I posted but I've been "trolling" for the past few weeks. I was a very early e60 545i adopter the first months it came out. My experience was good but not great, tons of software updates and an experience that wasn't as great as my first M3. So in frustration i got an SL55 AMG and then after the 545i lease ended I purchased an Audi S6. Well the AMG was and continues to be an amazing car, no issues and a great experience. The S6 although reliable not very fun, so I gave the car to my wife. Sorry for the long story but we're getting rid of the S6 and i'm close to purchasing a 550xi with every option except night vision. I was close to getting a Porsche Panamera Turbo but that's crazy money right now so I think the best overall car for me is the BMW 550xi. Anyone else have experience with a 545i and now the F10 550i or 550xi?
Also, what are the opinions regarding color? I was thinking Titanium Silver but the sales rep is suggesting Dark Graphite ...what do you guys think? How about Cinnamon interior with Aluminum trim? All my past 4 cars have been black inside and out so trying to mix things up.
Apologies for the rambling but getting a little excited about owning a BMW again.

My Ride: 2011 BMW 550i; Dark Graphite Metalliic/Oyster, 4.4 TT V8, 8-sp AT, Sports Package, Dynamic Handling, Premium Package 2, Cold Weather Package, HUD
I used to have a '05 545i a while back (black/black). It was a great car but my F10 550i is on another level.
Of course I'm biased in saying this but I love the dark graphite on my F10 550i. It's an interesting color....it's not as "boring" like silver and not as hard to maintain like black. From certain angles and sunlight, the color seems to give off anything from a gun metal color to a dark blue to charcoal. It's an understated but elegant color.
For the interior, I have Oyster. (I used to have black interiors on my last 4 cars and I got sick of it). The Oyster definately makes the cabin bright and "airy" and along with the wood trim, makes everything look very sharp and classy. The downside is that it picks up stains easily and can be hard to keep clean.
Go for the 550xi. You won't regret it!

My Ride: Carbon black m sport package 535xi. Natural brown interior with black diamond trim. Dinan stage 2.
I have carbon black 535xi with natural brown interior. (e60) I was thinking of graphite, cinnamon and dark bamboo trim in the new 550 xdrive. The kicker for me is m sport package. The anthracite roofliner just brings the whole cabin together!
