Default Busted MASK

Strange situation here: M-ASK unit has power (it lights up and left/right/volume work), but the Eject button does not work and the iDrive won't recognize the CD player (nor the iPod, since that's chained back out of the MASK). Radio and Sat work.

I've checked the fuse in the glove box and the back of the MASK. Is the faceplate of the MASK supposed to be lose? I'm afraid I may have damaged it while removing the trim pieces for the sport button addition.

Things I haven't checked yet:
-Lose wires in the megablock (don't see how this would have happened)
-Lose wires behind the faceplate (not sure how to get this off)

Any suggestions?
