Whaddaya mean no 30 month lease? I currently have a 30 month lease, and today at the dealer, my sales guy reviewed with me the 30 month MF's for leasing, as well as the others.

BMW FS will only extend a lease in increments of a year and they will not even quote you a rate until you are within 60 days or termination. The exception is that they will let you go month to month if you provide them with a production number but that would only give you a maximum of a couple of months. My thinking is that they will unveil the new model in March and production should start a few months later, making a 30 month lease about right.
Just one other thing to consider when looking into that crystal ball.

A typical rental method for private owners in the UK is something called a PCP. You dont own the car until you pay a final 'baloon' payment at the end of the period. If you dont want to pay, the car goes back. Third option is that you trade the car in, and any difference between actual value and the final payment goes towards your deposit on a new car.
Good points for me is the car goes back in Dec 2008. Bad point is it will be an old model and the value will plummet.
Another point to take into account, based on the recent 3 series coupe introduction its possible that only a few engines will be available at launch, with the rest following 6-12 months after. You may have alonger wait than expected....
Advantages with a PCP arrangement is you can return the car at any time after you have made 50% of the payments, with no repercussions.
