B&O systems are beautifully-designed and engineered, but as far as the actual sound, I wasn't too impressed when I demo'ed the version in the Audi A4.....but the BMW version does look pretty impressive on paper at least.
For me, the Mark Levinson and Panasonic ELS systems are the best factory audio systems I've heard thus far.

For the money, B&O is some of the worst sounding equipment on the market. Even at half the price you can do much, much better.

KEF is a great speaker. But in my experience, nothing out there compares to the warmth and color of the B&W. Was good enough for the Beatles...

You're honest I wasn't going to bash B&O in yet another thread, but yes, their equipment doesn't sound the best. Although, some of their components aren't bad - I remember their 1980's cassette players were pretty legendary... although, Dragon still takes the gold. Either way, their automotive parts are probably developed and manufactured by someone else, and just branded B&O (I'm guessing here).

I've deismantled a few speakers from B&O and you'd be suprised how cheap some of the components are.
Personally I prefer speaker elements from Focal and Morel
B&W manufactures excellent stuff too.
