The new 6-series F12 can be ordered with a Bang & Olufsen High End audio system.
And of course it will be soon also availble for the F10 as well.

16 active speakers and 1.200 Watts...

Love the design, aesthetics and exclusivity of B&O. Pricey though.

B&O systems are beautifully-designed and engineered, but as far as the actual sound, I wasn't too impressed when I demo'ed the version in the Audi A4.....but the BMW version does look pretty impressive on paper at least.

For me, the Mark Levinson and Panasonic ELS systems are the best factory audio systems I've heard thus far.

I'm more of a Bowers & Wilkins guy, but whatever - better than Harman Kardon, right

For the money, B&O is some of the worst sounding equipment on the market. Even at half the price you can do much, much better.
All beauty, no brain.

I wonder what we have in our cars as the Professional Audio? Sounds nice to my ears.

In my house I have large KEF's and they sound swell, as well.

You're honest I wasn't going to bash B&O in yet another thread, but yes, their equipment doesn't sound the best. Although, some of their components aren't bad - I remember their 1980's cassette players were pretty legendary... although, Dragon still takes the gold. Either way, their automotive parts are probably developed and manufactured by someone else, and just branded B&O (I'm guessing here).

KEF is a great speaker. But in my experience, nothing out there compares to the warmth and color of the B&W. Was good enough for the Beatles...

B&O is mostly design but they are also good at making crappy speaker elements to sound fairly good.
I've deismantled a few speakers from B&O and you'd be suprised how cheap some of the components are.

Personally I prefer speaker elements from Focal and Morel
B&W manufactures excellent stuff too.

Can't argue with Focal! I've also heard some great Sonus Fabre speakers
