Any Of You Considering An F10 550 X-Drive?

Despite all the added weight, I would love to have a 550 xi. I like the extra wet weather traction offered by X-drive.

Yes! That too. I had a 530xi Sport and I did everything possible to get it back to the way my E39 530i Sport handled. It was never the same. Couldn't agree more with this statement. This is why I'm not a fan of the XI anymore either.
I don't know, mine sticks pretty good even with run-flats... maybe I'm just not spoiled enough

There was a recent article that was published about which classic BMW's are considered collectors items and which future/current models will be. The overall conclusion was that if it has 4 doors, it's less likely to be a collector's item. Therefore, being an M6 owner could mean good things if you plan on holding onto your car until your kids can drive and you plan on keeping your mileage low for the next 20 years.
The only two truly collectible BMWs in the past 20 years or so have been what? 850CSi and the Z8 - about right? So it is hard to argue with the logic of your (and the article you allude to) statement. But there has to be some collectible value in E60 M5 being the only M5 ever with a V10 IMHO.

I would consider a 550xi. I need to get rid of my e60 soon. although i love it I cant be in a car that is in an old generation. and mine is pre lci! so its either a new f10, the new 2011 335is, maybe if I can swing an m3 coupe, or an x6..... hmmmmm so many choices!
