528iA vs. 535iA
Hello!
I am (as a lot of us are) looking forward to new F10 in the coming year. Currently I am driving an 525i M-Sport but I'm looking forward to stepping it up a bit with the F10 :-)
I am very interested in the 535iA but I was just wondering about the N55 engine from a reliability standpoint. My current car had a lot of issues with the notorious fuel injector problem(s) and went dead on me two times on a busy highway...
What about BMWs Turbo engines are they more error prone?? Or should I not be concerned at all?!? I really wan't that extra juice
The questions is 528iA or 535iA from a reliability standpoint?
Regards

The 535i will have HPFP issues, the 528i probably wont....that's just the way it is...you should be covered for 10 years/100k miles though...
Not sure if that warranty exists in Europe...

The OP is referring to getting a F10 535 which will have a different engine than the TT I6 in the E60 535 that has been so plauged with the HPFP issue (which made the NY Times today). There is no way to know where the single, twin scroll turbo I6 in the F10 535 will have HPFP issues. I sure hope not.
Here are some more info on the N55 engine:

Since BMW replaced my fuel pump, fuel injectors (and correctly vented the fuel system AND reset some IA thingy software) I haven't had any issues with it...
I was under the impression that the HPFP issue had been resolved by BMW!?

Yea I know the new F10 has a single turbo engine, but I am still convinced it will be plagued with the same issues.
