A body is a body is a body ... If I cut off the amount of wheels below the bottom of each car the Mercedes would still look like a cheap, warmed over Fairmont from 1979 and the BMW would be a beautiful car that looks like it's from this century.

now let's not take it that extreme.....
by the 2nd/3rd year production with or without an M sport version...all of you will come around...

I think this car will grow on most of us.
also I know that the real thing will look much nicer than the photo just like the 5GT

Quite the opposite. The E60 had a unique look and lines that set it apart from the rest of the series. This F10 just looks like a smaller version of the new 7 series. If it drove by, you'd be questioning yourself "Is that a 5 or a 7".
Also, for some reason the nose and the tail have been elongated. Don't mind the front and rear light design but that nose!
All in all, it's not a bad looking car, but then it doesn't look as good as the E60, with those eagle eyes and jet fighter look.

E60 has a character all it's own.

gawd damn the f10's interior is soooo frickin beautiful
really? Which one is which? Without prior knowledge tell me which is an e90 and which is an F10. Beautiful is the last thing I would call it. Pedestrian at best.
here is beautiful
I don't understand it all the same cars from 1-5 and then an uber luxury car in the 7. What incentive is there to buy the 5? It's all the same milk toast crap across the entire range. Have a slight trickle down in tech from the 7 and photoshop a 3 and 7 together and you have a 5. I get more annoyed by it everytime I see it.

^it's the same as being able to spot a pre lci e60 vs. an lci e60...it's the subtle differences that stand out IMO...either way, like anything else here, personal preference/taste takes precedence and is pointless to argue about....
***sitting in an e90 and f10, most likely you will be able to feel the difference in interior design and layout

X5
F10
im actually suprised no one has brought up how similar they are, especially X5 owners IMHO the F10 interior is a continuing evolution of the X5 interior
e60
e90
i mean c'mon they ARE all BMW's, the apple doesnt far fall from the tree
no comment on the porsche interior, no argument there, i love that lcd screen in the tach, altho it appears porsche has a touch screen nav, which im not fond of at all
it drives me nuts in my civic

The new five looks as good as I could have hoped for. My lease will be up on my 335i in late Sept, and I'm 95% sure that I'll be getting a 535i if it's priced right. If not priced right, then I'll "settle" for the 528i.
Anyone have a link to pricing? How does the new 5 compare to the E60 weight-wise?
