My Ride: 2005 525i - mo mods...just got it
Default

I am currently driving a 2005 525 with 150+K miles and my transmission is going to give up soon cause downshift from 2 to 1 is kind of rough. So i am planning to get something else in the next month or so. I wanted something similar size, and naturally 2011 5 Series became a candidate. But i started to have doubts. I read some reviews about unexplained pulling to the right, unexplained noise, etc. Also, not sure if anyone should get a vehicle with sealed transmission, cause it will most likely go bad. I think sealed transmission is not very dependable. So i was thinking to get a 535 with 10-20K miles, but i am not convinced in terms of dependability. I drive at least 100 miles a day, and will put in many miles very quickly.

I dont know, i am between 535, MB E350 (i know its not the same drive as BMW), Acura, or forget the luxury and get a brand new loaded Altima? Its great size and lots of car for money.

What do you think?

Hard for me to personally say at this time as I am so into bimmers right now. So everything in my eyes is to stick with a BMW.

I myself have a 523i and am looking into getting a 535i (F10) next year or possibly M5 (E60) if I find the right one.

Have you test driven the other cars you are interested in?
