Dear Fellows !
I?ve just ordered a 535D touring (M-sport, Carbon black). I plan to purchase the 19" -172 rims (BMW original) with the dimensions below:
8 J *19 Front rim
245/35 Front tire
9 1/2 J *19 Rear rim
275/35 Rear tire
Will this fit or do you think it can be to tight?
Best regards Stefan

Some people say they fit without rubbing or any other issues and others say the fitting is a problem.
What is a fact is that u will lose you homologation of the car, in other words the E61 with 19 inch rims is not approved, also depending on the country u live in. This could jeopardize your insurance for instance.

A good question.

Yep that is true, it must be homologated in your country.

Saw my first static 'in the flesh' 172's just the other day and I loved them! They look great from an oblique angle, it gives the impression of more 'spokes' than there really is...
