I have a ‘10 535xi wagon with 160k on the dash. I just picked it up a few weeks ago and have done some overdue maintenance. Walnut blast, fluid changes everywhere, oil change, brakes/rotors, tires, etc. my next big concern is the turbos...I have found used pair for N54 motor for $400 with 104k miles on them. I am wondering if it’s even worth replacing stock turbos with stock turbos with 56k less miles or just drive car and pray turbos don’t die on me and then worry about replacing when they do? Eventually down road I’d like to upgrade turbos and motor but in no rush so that is why I’m thinking about replacing stock with stock now. All advice appreciated. Thanks!

I would save the money for what I have planned in the future. If it's not bad now I wouldn't worry about it. The difference in mileage is not worth it

I agree. I just had my wastegates repaired and spent $2,000 after doing all the work myself, that was just parts (does include some service of having a shop replace the flappers, I took the turbos out.)
Just wait until you’re getting 30FF codes all the time.
