I am reading that it can get into that mode if the battery goes Flat. I wonder if that is how it went to Transport mode.

I don't know. Never seen it switch by itself. Go into INPA/DIS and put it back in Transportmodus ausschalten

You can do it in ISTA under service plan also.

Here are the steps:

Start INPA and ensure have the black dots for ignition etc Select your vehicle accordingly, mine is F5 for E60

On the bottom row of commands, you will see ACTIVATE (F6), click this with the mouse or hit F6

You will then see a list of functions with the pertinent ones being Transport Mode On Transport Mode off. Select OFF and you will deactivate it.

I'm more focused on that large current draw. Time to start unplugging stuff to isolate it.

At this point I would just start unplugging fuses one at a time.

Hi, I have done that. The problem is that the 8 Amp draw is not always there. When it gets a little warmer hopefully I can put a data logger and see if I can get a better idea of where it is.

I did take the car off of transport mode. ran another Fault tree and I did not see the Transport mode anymore but there are other faults.

Man there is so much to learn with this thing. I have a good BMW shop by me and probably by the end of this month or march will take it there and see what they say. The first time, they told me it was the Micro module. Perhaps there are more than 1 or 2 modules bad.

I have to figure on how to use the energy analysis feature to see which modules are not sleeping.

I can't see a module not going to sleep sometimes. Did you check the trunk, behind glove compartment and DME case? It's easy to check after 30 mins if your are having a draw at the battery and if so do a drop test with a multimeter on each fuse?

It's making it hard for you because it's cold so you can't just take 30 mins and do the tests without freezing. It was 61 degrees here in GA today and I'm glad I'm not where you're at. I was outside doing some coding on a friends car for about 45 mins.

This was the Scan today. No Transport mode. But I am seeing Battery exhausted code. New. Which one is DME Case? I know I have Fuses in the Trunk and in the glove compartment. I have not done the Voltage drop test on Each fuse. The Short is not always there or if its even short. I will keep testing it. For now, I am carrying an extra battery to help me start when I get stuck. when I go to the Gas Stations, I don't turn off the Engine. Temperature when I am out there is 28°F. Its a sweet looking car. I will post a picture when I get a chance just these electrical issues is driving me nuts.

The fuse case in under the hood. Should be left corner near the firewall under the cabin filter housing.
