Default Trailer Electric Module Defection Coding Delete

Hello there! 5Series fellas I have a problem at my BMW 525d E61.
Basically in my navigation it shows in german : "Anhangerelektrik ausgefallen", something about trailer. I was wondering how can I code that error so I can delete it. Thank you very much!

Do you know where the module is, have you unplugged it? I would imagine the trailer option is a part of the VO and if you removed it from there the car wouldn't know about it any longer. Unfortunately I don't have a list of VO codes to know if that's actually the case or not. According to this page it might be $235 that needs to be removed from the VO. Also found some good debugging info here if you're interested.

Yes I do know where the module is, tried to unplug it, but no chance. How do I remove the trailer thing from VO list? Because I know how to get there, but there is no option to remove that feature from VO/FA list. Do you have a video or somewhat?

Hmmm, I've modified my VO for some retrofits that I've done. I just used NCS Expert and I was able to add/remove things as needed. Took me a while to learn as I couldn't find good tutorials. When you say there is no option to remove from the VO list are you saying it's not in the list at all? If it is indeed in the list you should be able to select and hit Delete on your keyboard to take it out. Then write it back to the CAS and one other module (I forget which one off the top of my head, there are 2 modules that store it, might be LMA).

Is this page helpful?

No, you see I have a regular towbar, so it should be $235 right? It is there but I don't know how to remove it from there. I think I should remove that, right? So the tow bar error won't appear anymore.

Edit : I didn't know it was so simple, but anyways I should delete $235 right? For that error.

Ok, so it's in the list, what happens when you select it and hit the delete button on your keyboard? Does it take it out of the list? If so, can you then write it back to the two modules? In the screenshot below (which is from the page I linked to earlier) I think you should be able to find $235, delete it, and follow the instructions for saving it.

As far as I know, if you remove that then the car will no longer expect that module to exist and I think it would ignore it. I know that when I added option 4MF (seats with active backrest width adjustment) they didn't show up at all and the car didn't know they were there until I added $4MF to the VO. As soon as I did that they showed up in ISTA and I could view/modify them.

Out of curiosity, have you scanned for codes to see what error the trailer module is detecting? I'm assuming a switch is failed or something.

Edit: in North America we did not get this trailer option so I'm certainly not familiar with that module.

I have disabled a thing with the BMW coder tool and the battery got "disabled", that's what the navigation shown. I reverted it and searched all up the Internet to find how can I solve this issue and I found that if I delete $235 it will solve it, tomorrow I am going to see what is it going to happen. The tow bar it's like from factory, not after market, and maybe because it was everytime pulled out, something got into that thing where you put the cable, so the Brake lights would go on when attaching the trailer. The module itself doesn't seem to be burned out, I changed the DPF Module or what's it's name but no any Module since then

By the way, it's very weird because when I attach my Trailer, even if I plug in the cable for lights, they don't work. I just want the error to disappear, that's all and $235 should make it
