Blimey that is a lot. Do you have the part number Patrick?

The only one I can find is 37206777361 which is priced at ?71.51 here in the UK before discount.

Here's a link to realOEM and a nice diagram. As kerb states it is hose 8 on this diagram.

I've just had a look at mine and see it been destroyed in two places. I cannot see why this pipe is so special. In the realOEM diagram you can see it is just a pipe and the pipe it connects to goes to a filter which I presume is to make sure the compressor takes in clean/dry air.

As for ?71 to buy from BMW they can go chase themselves. Looks like nothing special and should be ?10 max! I'm going to find my own hose and just cut it to fit.

Having started this thread, I thought i had better continue with it!!

Bought a second hand pump from FAB BMW recycling (great company by the way).

Although the old pump on mine still worked, it gave error messages on I-drive, and took a while to keep the ride height. What confirmed it was faulty was when I unscrewed the air outlet pipes from the pump, there was no pressure release (hissing) but when I released the pipes from the replacement second-hand pump, there was still pressure in the unit.

The warning on I-drive has not gone, but I hope that a reset with an Autologic will solve that.

When I have a moment, I will take the old pump apart and see what has failed.

Replaced my hose today for ?0... I found a bit of pipe in the shed that will do the job!

Had to remove the bottom cover, rear wheel and the inner arch trim to get to the joint. Was easy enough to do. Only need 8mm and 10 mm sockets and a couple of new clips to put the hose on.

The pipe I took out was rotten so I'd advise everyone to have a look and replace it before it causes a failure.

it should only be the compresser end.

I just spoke to the maintenance guy in my garage (not an official BMW dealer, but it's the only brand they deal).
I asked him about this issue, and he told me that it was already solved when my car was produced.

If they had to fix it on other cars, they just used a piece of fuel line, so not the 105 euro pipe.
