Not to thread-jack, but for those still holding out for RD bars, I spoke w/ their sales rep and he told me it's possible to make more. He also told me that he'd be willing to adjust pricing on a group-buy. He asked me to provide my contact information last week and has gone dark ever since... If he surfaces, I'll start another thread once I get the information I need.

Hi all - well, I finally got some traction w/ RDSport. They're willing to do a group buy at 5# and 10# - both at significant savings. I'm a little pressed for time at the moment, but I intend to post the announcement in a separate thread either tonight or tomorrow morning.

Anyone know how the RD compares to the M5?

 

I will admit up front that I have zero experience with any E6x setup beyond stock (though several other BMW applications). But Ive done extensive reading over multiple forums and the consensus is that the RDs are the way to go for the xi application.

 

The e61 LCI M5 Wagon Euro Sway bar is 22mm. The US e60 M5 Sedan Sway is 20mm.

What is the diameter of the RD Rear Sway?. J

From what I've read I don't think it's possible to make a performance comparison of the OEM solid sways vs. RD Sport hollow tube adjustable sways based on diameter of the bar.

On a side note, I happened to catch the owner of RD Sport on the phone awhile back when my call to the office rolled over to his cell. He told me he had one set of E61 sways left. I even received an invoice from them, but never heard back after sending payment information.

I followed up with him a couple of weeks ago and he told me he sent that set of bars out to a shop for measurements. Seems there is enough interest that they're planning another production run.

With that said, I got impatient and purchased an eBay deal on a M5 Sedan rear sway. I've installed that and KW V3s and I don't feel like the car needs anything more.

 

Did you ever get that other thread posted? I didn't see it, but I'd still be in for a set.
