Nice! That is a beefy looking handle there!
I have elected NOT to install those over-priced ACS bits (e-brake handle and iDrive cover).

You're right about it being beefy. Its like having a beefier wheel, it seems more purposeful some how. Shame I don't really use it, because I have the "P" function on the auto... so I'm not even going to try and justify my purchase... I simply wanted it!

With my E39 Touring (step), I never once - in 7 years of ownership - used the hand brake. Same story with the E61 so far.
I may go with the M5 hand brake cover/handle to match the M5 gear selector.

I think the M5 iDrive knob could be one of my next mods. However when I recetnly phoned BMW to order one, they said it didn't fit
I know its not specifically designed for the E60, but it should still fit ok, right???

It is the same deal with some ACS iDrive controllers.
///Marco.it has the M5 controller on his E61, but his car is 2.5 years younger than my 2005.

Hmm, well it looks like I will just have to find another mod to spend my money on... ![Wink](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/wink.gif)
I'm thinking Dension gateway or iPod interface. My car doesn't even have the aux input and I'm already fed up of burning CDs!

After one week of indecison, finally I made up my mind and today I have installed the new M5 mirrors I got from the States. They are the new MY2009 and I have exchanged them with my old M5 mirrors as the guy did not like the look on his M5 sedan.
IMO they fit the Touring better and I actually like the new look of my car very much.
This is the second spring mod after the Alpina rims. Now I am missing the black front grill that just became available few weeks ago by BMW dealers.
Here are some photos of my wagon with new rims and rear mirrors.

Later I will most probably go with the M5 front bumper. But this is another story that will go on, most probably, this fall/winter.

Thats one very classy looking ride ![Twoup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/twoup.gif)
I agree, the mirrors work better on the Touring and those rims are simply a timeless classic... on any BMW!
It will be interesting to see how the black grills work with the new look.
