Thanks both.
Unfortunately, yesterday was a bank holiday in the UK, so while the dealers were open, they had no service staff.
Doubly unfortunately, because it was a Bank Holiday, we were 200 miles from home.
To make matters worse on the (quiet with no radio) drive back, the tyre pressure warning came on and while I stopped and checked all tyres (fine) I couldn't then reset it, because I couldn't access any settings.
PITA.
Dropped the car at the dealers this morning so we'll see how it goes.

All fixed now.
It needed a Software update. Apparently.
Picked it up this morning and it all looks completely different now. The only downer is that all our satnav addresses have disappeared.
On the upside, it looks like the DVD slot will now accept multimedia DVDs. I'll have to give that a go.

Hi,
I'm interested to know what you mean my DVD will now accept multimedia DVD's, do you mean for music playback (MP3) or video content also?
Thanks
Carlo

We've got DVD Satnav and in the past when you flicked on to entertainment it gave you the option of Radio, CD, or TV.
Now, with the upgrade, it also offers DVD as an option to choose. While I was driving home from the dealers the other day, I quickly flicked over to it and it said something along the lines of 'could not find multimedia DVD'.
I've not been in the car since, so I don't know aht it means, but my assumption (and it is only that) is that we could now utilise the DVD drive for more than just the satnav.

I think you mean that when you go to the CD option you get the CD, the CD Changer and a DVD option. Correct? If you get a DVD option on the Top then the Dealer has mistakenly coded your car with the DVD option enabled. The front DVD slot does not play multimedia DVDs, it will however play mp3s stored on it.
