Playing around with the idea of replacing the head unit with something better (got the business sound package) but have read in forums that you lose the PDC part ? All clarifications on this matter woulb be very much appreciated ,

Was planning to replace tbe Head unit and amp to McIntosh gear , add a computer to play AVI, DVD , HD and FLAC

But the issue is that I would like to keep the Idrive part , and as much functionallity that comes with the car as possible, but I can live without the stearing wheel buttons .

Since It's a company car I'd like to make sure what the pros and cons are before I start to rip it apart ...


It's a 2007 530xd Wagon.
