Question Rear Window wiper

I have removed the non working wiper motor off my E61 530D estate as well as the pivot thing that turns the wiper and locks the glass door. In the book it says that on re fitting I need a special BMW tool to set it up? Does anyone know of this tool and do I really need one or can I do it by trial and error?

Anyone got any idea, surely someone has replaced the rear wiper on the hatchback E61?

What "book" are you referring to?

When I say book I meant the Haynes manual it gives the part number as 611330 I have looked for it but can not find it anywhere? Just checked the same on the ISTA software and it identifies the same reset tool?

I have seen wiper arm alignment done by match marking the old arm position to the new arm.

So if I set the new motor the exact same position as the original one it that should do the job?
Sorry to be a pain but I need to be prepared when the weather breaks, no garage any job is rather difficult in these winter months.

Yes. Exact same position. If your match marking is off, you'll then need to trial and error.
