Hi everyone,

as the title says - there is no water flowing from the nozzle, only from under the LED-light from under the rear spoiler. Seems like the hose has been disconnected from the nozzle inside the rear window.

Seemed relatively simple to fix, so I tried to remove the spoiler first in order to get access to the hose - and could not! I removed the 4 screws from the inside of the rear window frame, but the spoiler would not come off.

Has anyone had a similar problem and can anyone tell me how to remove that plastic spoiler?

...but I still cannot figure out how the spoiler is fixed to the glass gate. Anyone done it before?

 

I found the spoiler removal info - that's from Chesney72's thread about wiring harness replacement:

"Now you need to remove the roof spoiler so you can unplug the loom.
1 - Open tailgate glass (if its still working unlike mine!! If not then thats a whole other DIY as its a pain to get open manually)
2 - There are 4 bolts holding the spoiler on. Equally spaced and under little plastic caps that come out easily with fingernails. Remove these.
3 - Lower the glass and then firmly work the spoiler backwards to slide it off the locating lugs.
4 - I then unplugged the washer nozzle which is on the LHS

Problem fixed - the spoiler came out really easy, and it turned out that the plastic hose had just popped out of the pipe that leads to the nozzle.

The funny thing is, the hose has a wider ring at the end which is difficult to push in the pipe and then it "clicks" really strongly once in it - so I cannot imagine how this hose could pop out of the pipe, unless the nozzle was blocked (which in my case was not). The only explanation I can think of is that it was not pushed properly into the pipe in the first place when the car was manufactured (or if/when the nozzle was replaced/fixed previously).

Anyways, I have a properly spraying nozzle now...

hmm... you're probably right about that.

When I think about it some more, the nozzle might have been just frozen when the popped out

in any case, its a really simple fix should anyone get the same problem

 

Spraying?
I think the fluid is more like pouring rather than spraying (like from the front nozzles).
Atleast it looks like that when seeing it from the inside.

Maybe something is wrong with the nozzle on my car too?

 

no, yours is ok and mine is the same. its indeed sort of a "high-speed-pouring", this is a BMW after all
