Hi forum members, I am purchasing a 2007 530xi touring with 126k miles. It is one owner trade-in vehicle that was driven a lot on highway hence the mileage. Original owner had extended warranty on it and it has been dealer maintained. It has automatic transmission. It has no accidents and the car is in mint condition in terms of exterior and interior features. AC is ice cold. New alternator/battery. Valve cover has been changed recently. Tires are almost done.

Here are the following things I would do to it as soon as I get it
1. oil and filter change
2. air filter change
3. cabin filter change

what sort of things should i look out for in the future? I currently drive a 3-series E46 with just over 150k miles which i maintain and it is running in top shape.

i'm taking it to a mechanic this afternoon before i finalize the deal.

 

Check the rear for any water infiltration. Run water on the roof and make sure it drains properly, if not it may drain into the rear where there are many electronics.
