Just got back from a 5300km road trip with the kids - towing a 2000lb tent trailer. Trip went fine - except the appearance of the dreaded wastegate rattle - so I've ordered new turbos and will be replacing them myself as soon as all the parts arrive.
That is very a very nice wagon and great way to put it to use, very loaded! I have the same cargo box, love it!
Make sure to start a new thread with the replacement of the turbos, I will have to get them done at some point as well, so far so good (197k KM).
Just bought the car in Bend, OR and will be driving it home to Michigan this weekend.
That is a good looking car. Saw that one the other day when I was looking through ones for sale. I have an 08 in the same color. Is that an aftermarket m5 bumper? How does it drive?

It’s not an M5 bumper. It’s either OEM M-sport or aftermarket M-sport. If it’s a 2010, it’s likely an OEM M-sport model due to having the M-sport wheels and side skirts. Looks exactly like mine (paint and interior color too) before the M5 body conversion.

gotcha didn’t know they had a m-sport option on the 2010
Finally working again. All fuel system parts aside from lpf have been replaced. Spent 20+ hours polishing and waxing to get the horrible swirls out of the paint from what the dealership did.
Previously had Style 123s on the wagon. BMWWheelStyle listed them as 25lbs; had issues finding something that I liked that was cheap and lighter.
Came across these Style 94s. BMWWheelStyle didn't have a weight listed, but BMWfans had a weight of 27lbs listed. Almost didn't buy them until I decided to check the 123s on the same website; had them listed at 30lbs.
Bought three from one eBay seller at $80/each (with another 15% eBay coupon) and then the last one at a local PnP for $40. Would've been $20, but apparently they only have a 3 day return policy for tires....
So anyways, lucked out with cheap but strong OEM wheels. Likely will be doing an Anthracite rattle can job on them for now. I've seen a set for sale on eBay that looks goooooood.
Edit: At some point, I'll be picking up a set of TRM's VE37 copy cats because they're so fucking light and look good. But at $150/each, they can wait until I get more serious about turning the wagon in to my project.

if you have under 83,000 miles it is covered by factory warrantee. Had mine replaced at 79k... just made it under the wire.
