Default New to the forum & 530ixt owner

Hello all,
I've owned a wide variety of BMW's over the years, have been an instructor for HPDE's with the BMW CCA for over 10 years, formerly raced with the club for about 5. So my passion for them runs deep and is varied on and off the track.
Some of the BMW's I've owned include:
87 535is
91 M5
95 M3 LWT
88 M3
83 733i
91 318is (currently own and converting into 320is clone with s-14 motor)
01 M Coupe (currently own s-54 equipped, set up for track events)

I've always wanted a wagon with a manual trans for a daily driver and living in snow country AWD makes a lot of sense. I finally found one nearby at a dealership that just happens to be owned by a friend of my wifes family and jumped on it.

I can't wait to pick it up in a week or so as the proud owner of a 2006 530xit with a 6sp manual and ~125k miles on it. The car has is a two owner garage kept beauty, black saphire and a really cool auburn interior. It's loaded with cold weather and premium pkg. I turn my own wrench so I'm not concerned with keeping up on the maintainence and look forward to keeping it a long time. I'm going to post a few questions in the tech section but thought I'd start with by introducing myself here and sharing a few pictures of the car.

I finally found a set of 135s for my E61 and here it is with a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports. It has taken me a while to find these wheels.

Bought my first ever BMW last month. 55plate, E61, metallic blue, beige leather interior, automatic, cruise control etc etc. Got for £4500 so pretty happy.

Other than a brake pad replacement warning (think the guy replaced pads but not sensor), rear windscreen demister issues (linked to tailgate wiring), slightly squeeky stereing (issue still tbc) and SoS call failure issue (no care, no biggie) it's been great thus far. Lovely car to drive, bit emotional at the Filling Station when still guzzling at £85 diesel tho I have to say. Anyway, find this forum invaluable.

Just tried uploading pics but always failing. might be due to using iPhone & not a pc/laptop.

Quick question then- roof boxes ( I have 2young kids so pram with wheels etc fills boot nearly). So what are best options? Ta
