I would also recommend the Sports Auto transmission (it's only another ?70 in the UK) and maybe the Active steering (had it on my last car, but not this one - would probably order it again though). Dynamic Drive is good, but pricey (again, it's included in the MSport pack though)
Sports Auto would be great, but unfortunately not available on the 525d, only on the 530d/i models and above

I have the standard auto and its pretty quick on the LCI models. Definately an improvement over the previous non-LCI auto.

Wrong.

Dynamic Drive and AS can't be ordered if you have X-Drive...
No problem with DD and AS on M-package.

C
This is an interesting point......

In the UK, you CAN order DD with the SE, but NOT with the MSport pack - the option just isn't available.

Some people say that's because there's already a sportier tuned DD included with the MSport pack as "MSports Suspension". Having recently traded a DD equipped SE for an M-Sport car, the MSport certainly feels like the DD equipped SE in terms of reduced body roll - but that could be stiffer springs/dampers or whatever.

Personally, I can't find any reference to exactly what the MSports suspension is!

True, but I wasn't thinking of a xDrive car as banon is ordering a 525d and not an xd.

Add the USB option. Only regret I had about my options was not to include this in my list.

Yes, good point! I enjoy the USB connection so much I can't imagine of a 5er without it.

Sorry, but what do you use the USB for? You really need to be an ipod addicted to use it, I thought I could use it together with my phone and take the mp3 from there, but that didn't work, now I only use it to charge the phone (who also have tomtom nav 6 with speed cams) since I don't have any 12V out lets accept in the rear seat.

What happened anyway with 12V in front of the speed shift?

My best option sport steering wheel and seats. All smaller steering weels hurt my right hand, now idea why. And the adjustable leg rest in the sport (and I guess comfort) seats.
