No Torch in Glovebox
#1
My e91 (3 series touring) 2005 has a rechargable torch in the glovebox. My E61 2008 does not ? Anyone know why, BMW fitted this to a lower end model and not higher end models.
I actually used to use the torch all the time on the E91 so can it be retrofitted to E61, for example is the wiring there to fit this as an accessory ?

My car didnt come with a torch but the connector for it is still fitted. Got a brand new one of ebay for about ?10.
I cannot find it and I wonder whether it is under some plastic cover or something... The pics are from the glove box of my 2004 E61 - the best I could get with my phone.
Cheers

All the way to the left in front of the hinge in the top /first picture. Should be a socket.

I couldn't help but get a kick out of the title. It reminded me of something out of James Bond. A torch in the glovebox. I guess BMW should also include an ejector seat so after you use the torch on your passenger, you can eject their burnt corpse with the touch of a button.
