Hey Pete!
Exellent news about this remap!!
Could you tell us if this discount they mentioned applies to all their shops in Germany, or any particular ones?
And for how long is it available? I am personally very tempted by 200hp in my 520d...

So, I'm in the mood for more treats for my E60-baby

I am having my remap done by the Wetterauer "Tuning Point" for the Frankfurt area, who will come to me (when I am in Germany) to do the remap. They informed me of the offer when responding to an email I sent them. I did not see anything on the Wetterauer website. The offer is valid until the end of this month. I will PM you more details.

If you are going to have it done by one of the well known companies, which cost around ?1000,- then now is the time with this 30% offer. I know there are cheaper remappers / chip tuners out there, but I have opted to pay more for a company with a good history, reputation and peace of mind that goes with it.

In the UK we have emaps (www.e-maps.co.uk) that has a first class reputation. First found him on BMWland.co.uk where there isn't a single bad word said about him. He works with a reputable German source for the development work and specialises in BMWs.

I don't want to go on but am happy to receive pm's if anyone wants to know more, or contact e-maps direct and speak to Simon.

My e61 535d posted 14 second quarter miles at Santa Pod and embarassed a few others in the process

What was the hp/Nm figures after your remap blingo??

She somehow has the right balance of letting me get on with it, but also keeps me from totally losing it on the car-costs front! We just moved to Copenhagen, a shoppers paradise, so there are enough ??? heading her way. The other thing is that I now use the train to commute to work and she drives the car during the week, so she gets the best of both worlds... she's got it all worked out

Not trying to start a mines better than yours but I pulled 14.7 with my 530d M-Sport 231bhp(pre tuning box hp) and a 60 quid tuning box from Abrieb, however that said although it seemed to work well for a good while, but then on a recent track day I did start to get what felt like fuel starvation problems from 80mph onwards - was no longer pulling cleanly, so whilst the el cheapo box seems to be a viable short term option it may not be worthwhile considering for long term especially given that the boxes only appear to boost fuel pressure rather than actually remap the car in any way.......what is interesting is the performance gains I got whilst it was working properly tho, compared to the expensive remap option I mean.

I know Simon from Emaps, seems like a decent and knowledgeable chap, plenty of good rep on the old E46 forums I used to belong to as well.
