Thanks!
I'm really enjoying the E61, but as you said, its not easy going from LCI to pre-LCI. You don't notice the difference that much when driving the LCI, i.e. you take it for granted, but when I get back in the pre-LCI after driving the LCI, you really notice the difference. But that's why I made sure I purchased a car with some nice extras so that it was a "step up" for me, including more power
Well done.

now, FINALLY some serious write-up about this famous car of yours Pete, we've been all waitinig for!!!
Looks and sounds great!!
CONGRATS Mate!!

by the way, more and more E61s seem to be coming into our little European-Meets fleet!!! which got me thinking... hmmm...
in fact, one of my friends is now considering a car change, he's back and forth between new Accord/Avensis/Insignia in touring versions... but once I showed him that for the same money he could actually have a nice 2-year old 525dT, even from the Premium Selection... perhaps we'll see a new member joining us from Luxembourg soon
(it's up to his wife now, I guess... )

Thanks mate

You're right about the E61s at the European Meets, the numbers are climbing!

As for the 525d, why? If its price, ok. But when I was searching for a used 6cyl diesel 5er from BMW, I quickly concluded that you can get a 530d for the same money and the insurance / tax is near enough the same cost. But as always, its about the overall package you can negotiate.

Ok. Now we're both 'stuck' with the 'old' A/T. I sold my '07 model and bought an '05 530d Touring. Bought this one for an incredibly low price. Wonderfull car, Premium Selection, delivered on 6-2008. Unfortunately, the PS garantee isn't transferable. I'll post some picks in a new subject once I got my dSLR back.

Btw, it's Carbon black/Black dakota.

Congrats! You don't want that newer rubbish anyway -- everyone know's the "vintage" 05 models are the best
Its nice to see there's someone here who changes their car more often than I do!
Looking forward to see the pics and specs...
