After assembling the vehicle, we noticed that there were some paint matching issues. Long story short, she's headed back in for another round....

You'll notice the big difference in paint color between the fenders and the doors.

Bummer on the mismatch but that pic already shows how great the color looks on the car.

I assume those side skirts are M as well?

Looking forward to see the next step!

Unfortunate yes, but I'm sure happy that they called it out before I had to. That was a really good sign to me re: their integrity and their work standards.

Just went and saw the car. It's almost back together completely. just adding the bumpers right now, then color sanding the whole thing. After that it'll have the windshield put back on and then head over for final polish. Done TOMORROW!!!

Yes, I went with the M Side skirts.

So after this is all said and done, I'll be ready to pick out some new wheels. Then exhaust, then stereo, then...

Unfortunately after putting the entire car back together, there are several issues that need to be addressed:
- Passenger Restraint System Fault
- Headlight fault
- Sunroof Fault
- Airbag Fault
Those are not a big deal, as I can clear those codes back at my Shop with our Factory Diagnostic Tools. So that's good. What's NOT good is that if you leave the car running for 5 minutes, it starts overheating. We double-checked the coolant levels and it's good, so it's likely to be an issue with the electric water pump. I'm waiting till Monday when I'll tow the vehicle over to my shop. It's simply not worth it to risk overheating the car and risk long-term damage to the engine.
That said, the car looks spectacular and I'm really grateful for that! Definitely glad I decided to paint the roof gloss black. So excited to get it back, but at the same time I'm willing to stay patient and ensure it's done right.

The car really turned out great, congrats!

I had the "Passenger Restraint System Fault" come on a couple of months ago, shop could not find an issue, they reset the code and the warning did not re-occur since.
If it comes back, I found on forums that it could be the passenger sensor mat.

The water pump should not be a biggie for you - after all that you achieved on the car so far.

It looks like a significant number of man-hours went in. I'm thinking it must have helped to have your own shop, the insurance claim etc - to make the numbers work. I don't think this would be an achievable project for most people...
Please say I'm wrong and this is all much simpler than it looks, I'll be picking a Lambo-color soon then
