So they have various Type 128 wheel applications????
Never mind I found 3 different type 128 wheel applications, just when I thought I had started understanding BMW!!!

Which makes me wonder if the picture above might be the 21" wheels?

Thanks friend cheers as it's back on my list of potential wheels!

Well a fellow board member on E90 post photoshopped the wheel I posted above (CSL type replica). Thoughts?

The car above has the 19s. Same as my set-up, but Dave's is lowered on H&R springs. (I love that picture!!)

Me again!

Well I'm looking at yet another possibility as I have a set of style 230 wheels from a E92 3 series that I have barely used on my E90 sedan sitting in my garage.

The specs are 19x8 ET 37 front and 19x9 ET 39 rear.

Some buddies photoshopped them on a familiar photo they should fit but I'm concerned about the narrow width of the wheels.

I think I've seen that car somewhere before

IMHO those 230s will look great on the E61. If you have them in your garage anyway, why not put them on one side and see for yourself... oh and don't forget to take some pics and post them here

You should check through the E61 Forum or Accessories & Parts Forum a little more, because another member put these rims on his E61 x-Drive. (Try the search function at the top first of all though.)

Thats not true!! The OEM 19" type 128 for the BMW X3 has the right offsets (ET) for the 5er Xi/Xd models

X3 E83
8,5x19 front 235/45R19 ET 46
9x19 rear 255/40R19 ET 51

The E61 Xi model has the following set-up (18s)
8x18 front/rear 245/40R18 ET 43

So you can have the 128s on your car
Would these 249's fit? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/71217-19-06...=item414c2907ac

Or these 166's fit? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E60-Gen...=item1c05be2782

I know nothing about wheels or the logic of their compatibility

The Xi models require wheels with a much higher offset (ET) value -- something around ET43. The normal models have something around ET20, ranging from ET14 to ET32 depending on width of the rim (i.e. for staggered set-ups). So unforetunately those rims would not fit, but they are great rims you picked out

That's why the 3 series and X3 rims are interesting, because they have a larger offset (ET) value, which is very close to the E60/61 X model offset

Thanks, you saved me 3k+ but sad that such nice rims won't fit on the XI. So, I should be looking for rims that fit the standard RWD 3 and AWD x3?
