Spoke to Wayne at Hexon, we will be receiving the RR550 before the end of the week "Fingers Crossed" as they need to be installed ASAP before BimmerFest East.
We will be using the MHD flash with a custom Map from Wedge Performance aka Ken. I think around 600awhp will be possible with the right fueling.

It is nice to have Ken beating the s*** out of them, makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Mine are in SF and should be at my door Thursday. They arrived much sooner than expected and there is possibly enough time to install them before I pack up my life and move down to Southern California. It will likely be a month or two before I unpack my tools and am able to wrench again, decisions, decisions.

We are already starting to rip the car apart. I have a custom exhaust to be made on Tuesday after the turbo install. The muffler will consist of the following. After DP collector to 3.5" all the way back to axle then Y split to 3" to tips. Vibrant 3.5" center muffler in the middle and on the Y pipe will be one 3" vibrant resonator as well. We did not want to to loud but still aggressive, i am thinking this will be a good solution for sure. I am waiting for a email from Ken for custom tune. Let the install being!

Time for some updates!
The RR550 came in last Friday, we had planned on doing both the E92 and E61 but as it turns out the E92 was harder than the E61 and the Wagon needed to be finished first so it could make it to its booth on time for Bimmerfest East.
Took us about 1.5 days lots of beer and Gin & tonic breaks in-between but overall I would say it was easier then my 335i. We also installed VTT inlets, I had talked with Evan about his intake setup and while we would like to go this route we did not have the time to invest in making a complete new AC lines. I think down the road though this will be the plan seeing as though that's a clean look and efficient for the turbos as well.
Install broke down like this.
- Drain Coolant
- Drain Oil
- Move coolant reservoir and Vac canister for top access
- Remove passenger side Front Axle.
- Remove passenger side fender lining
- Unbolt driver side engine mount
- Jack up engine underneath with mount unbolted to easily remove mount and gain more room for removal of turbos.
- Once engine is jacked up from underneath easily remove engine mount. (Remove annoying Shield from Mount)
- Remove DPs
- Cut away stock intake pipes
- Start removing oil/coolant lines
- Remove manifold Studs
- Remove turbos
- Reverse process installed with upgraded inlets.

After the turbo install getting ready for a new exhaust to complement them. Vibrant Everything except for the tips. 3.5" to 3" split at the axle. The exhaust will be finished today. One of our sponsors "Dinnamn" made this custom diffuser with quad cutout for the M-Tech rear for our car. The tips fit perfectly and give a nice aggressive fitment.
As for tuning we are using MDH with Max Boost, we will be starting with a 25psi map, so far the RR550 has been taken up to 30PSI and are holding up great.
We have already received a new Map from Wedge and will be posting some logs once all is dialed in. Along with some videos of the exhaust and more pictures underneath the car. Don't mind the dirty filters in the bay, they are being replaced and a few things cleaned up in there.
There are a few more Carbon Fiber goodies going on the car tomorrow and some final touches before the event. There will be a slew of professional pictures being posted as well that this car desperately needs. If you happen to be at Bimmerfest stop by the Dinnman Booth and come say hi!

Congrats Dan. It must feel great to have all that done, and done at the same time might I add.
Can't wait to hear your exhaust system and see some logs!
