Is this problem only on the "e60 Xi" version?
No, the problem is with all e60/e61 cars.

So far I have not had the problem (Sep. 2005 build). My car sits from Sunday night to Friday night.

Saul,

So far I have not had any starting or other problems even though I continue to get the "High Battery Drain" warning.

I'm getting the High Battery Drain warning as well. More when it sits overnight then when I use it a few times in the same day. I was thinking that they problem is made worse by the auto liftgate which probably uses loads of juice. I imagine a few trips to the car without starting could get the battery down pretty quickly.[/QUOTE]

I have an e61 having the same problem when it sits over night. I cant seem to trace this down. I get the 2ded code. My battery and alternator are good. I am taking it in for a turbo upgrade and some other maintenance things. Hoping he can chase it down..... Its an 08 535xi touring
