Hi, firstly just to say I've been reading through the forum and there is masses of useful information and it seems much friendlier than a few forums I've encountered.

I do have a question. I just purchased a 520 d Msport after much looking around. Always fancied one and decided the time was right.

There is one problem. The central locking. After reading posts and guides I have checked the wires and found a few that were broken. They have been replaced and whilst they have fixed the boot mechanism the locking is still not working

Having checked the amplifier there are no signs of corrosion or water damage, is there anything else that it might be? Or do I just have to bite the bullet and get an amplifier

Also in addition to this when I use the manual key to unlock it the alam will go off. I don't know if this points to any other issues?
